Richard Berenholtz
received a master’s
degree in architecture
from Columbia University
in 1974 and subsequently
worked as a designer
with I.M.Pei.
During that time his
hobby of photography
became a passion leading
to three one-man shows
in New York galleries.
In 1984, Berenholtz left
architecture to pursue a
full-time career as a
commercial photographer.
In the past 17 years
he has had three
photography books
published: ‘Manhattan
Architecture,’ ‘Inside
New York’ and ‘Panoramic
New York.’ He has
produced what he
considers to be one of
the most comprehensive
collections of
photographs of New York.
