Evelyn
Barnes has been
exhibiting her fine art
photography
internationally since
1971. She is a master of
the black and white
craft, who specializes
in gelatin silver prints,
and unique, one of a
kind hand-tainted
gelatin, silver prints.
Her subjects include
landscapes, still lifes,
and interiors.
Trained in fine art
with a Bachelors degree
from the University of
Florida, Evelyn has
devoted much of her
professional life to
instructing students in
fine art and commercial
photography. She has
taught at such
prestigious learning
institutions as The
Maine Photographic
Workshops in Rockport,
the Southeastern Center
for the Arts, formerly
in Atlanta, and the
Portfolio Center in
Atlanta, where she
currently teaches. She
does private tutoring,
custom designed classes,
and personal workshops
internationally.
Evelyn has been
honored with an NEA
(National Endowment for
the Arts) grant and a
GCA (Georgia Council for
the Arts) Individual
Artist Grant during her
long career. Her work is
in private and corporate
collections from Chicago
to Miami. She has
received numerous
National awards and
print commissions for
her work.
Evelyn's images
invite viewer
participation and have
been described as
sensitive,
introspective, pictorial
images of an idealistic
world.
