Born
in 1950 in the U.S.S.R.
after studying the
normal academic year
from 1970 to 1975, Akim
studied at the Art
Academy of Kishenev
learning about
traditional and
classical painting and
sculpting amongst some
of the brightest and
most influential artists
of the U.S.S.R.
In 1994, Isaic
traveled to Florence,
Italy on an invitation
to study at the Florence
Academy of Fine Art,
where he lived his
lifelong dream of
painting and sculpting
in the birthplace of the
Renaissance. From there
to Venice and Rome and
finally in 1990 Akim
immigrated to Israel.
Akim's works have
been shown in annual
ArtExpos since 1990,
both in New York and Los
Angeles. He also has
shown his work in major
galleries across the
United States, Europe
and Israel.
Isaic believes, "the
reality where art exists
is only one of many
interpenetrating planes.
The purpose of any art
is to foreshadow a
greater reality. There
is much more to this
world than the sensible.
The challenge for the
artist is to capture the
aura of the unseen."
